Unicorn Patron
We are delighted to have as our Patron, HRH The Duchess of Cornwall. Her Royal Highness has visited the Unicorn on several occasions, the first time whilst the theatre was still being built when she gamely donned a hard hat and toured the site.
As a lover of children and the arts she is committed to sharing our work and meeting our young audiences, fulfilling the vital role of ambassador and champion of the Unicorn.
"Since 1947, the Unicorn has introduced countless children to the magic of theatre, and the completion of the new building in 2005 has enabled the theatre to extend its valuable work to even more young people. As the proud Patron of the Unicorn I look forward to watching its continuing success over the coming years."
Unicorn President
Juliet Stevenson took over the role of President of the Unicorn in 2008 and since then has immersed herself the life of the theatre, hosting events and lunches and bringing her family to Unicorn performances. We are proud to have her on board.
‘When I was asked if I would like to take on the role of President I didn’t hesitate. The Unicorn Theatre represents two things I am passionate about; the welfare of children and live theatre. Nobody presents live theatre for children better than the Unicorn, led by its inspired Artistic Director, Tony Graham, and I am thrilled to be involved.'
