Unicorn Education runs a variety of projects for schools. Among these is Class Acts, an annual festival that celebrates the talent of year 6 primary school children in London, in which eight participating classes work alongside theatre professionals throughout June before performing on Unicorn’s Weston stage in early July. For more information on Class Acts, click on the link to the right.
Funding is also occasionally available for the Unicorn team to develop residencies in schools in partnership with teachers and children. We use these projects to develop our own practice in providing participatory arts education, and to evaluate its impact on the lives and learning of children and young people.
Projects will often cross multiple art forms and investigate themes relating to specific productions in our programme, exploring the potential for creative responses to theatre.
