Take Part
There are many ways we would like you to get involved in the work of the Unicorn, alongside coming and enjoying our shows. Whether it is Family Days, Youth Theatre, Young Company or visiting one of our events, we would like to encourage you to get involved, create your own work and explore stories through participatory activities.
To enquire about work experience or volunteering at the Unicorn, please email admin@unicorntheatre.com with your covering letter and CV, or send them to Carolyn Forsyth at Unicorn theatre, 147 Tooley Street, London SE1 2HZ.
Do you want to...
Make your own theatre?
Tell the stories that matter to you?
Create within a professional theatre building with directors, actors and other young people?
Or maybe you just want to try something completely new, for the very first time.
If any of these sounds familiar, the Unicorn runs two year-round schemes for young people that might just be what you're looking for.
Youth Theatre
We need you!
Unicorn’s Youth Theatre is for 10-16 year olds who live or go to school in Southwark or Tower Hamlets. Come to the theatre after school weekly, as well as in school holidays, and work with your group to create new theatre and explore fresh ideas. As long as you have enthusiasm and a sense of adventure – we’d love to hear from you. No previous experience necessary. Click here for more information about Youth theatre.
Young Company
The Young Company is your opportunity to meet and explore ideas alongside other likeminded people – creating theatre that matters to you. Meeting within the Unicorn building, the Young Company explores all the different areas of making theatre; performing, directing, writing, designing etc. If you are between 16 and 19 years old, and live or go to school/college in Southwark or Tower Hamlets – the Young Company could be for you. Click here for more information about Young Company.
