"The Lifeboat is very fun and funny at times but it was scary when it went dark. There was a very clever bit at the end that I enjoyed very much."

Molly Jones (aged 7)

"This is a true story about 2 evacuees, Bess and Beth on a ship to Canada in World War Two. On the way there, their ship was torpedoed and they cling onto a lifeboat waiting for a rescue ship (will it ever come?). They tell stories of their life up until their ship was torpedoed.

I really liked it because it was witty, scary, moving, creative and thought provoking all in one. The only thing that I didn’t like about it was it was a little confusing and I think that there should have been an interval.

Overall I would give it 8 out of 10."
