Designed by Keith Williams Architects, the £13 million theatre building will include:

Weston Theatre
This 340-seat auditorium is at the heart of the building. The space hosts larger-scale work for children from companies in the UK and abroad, classics, literary adaptations and new writing. Unicorn is delighted that this theatre is supported by the Garfield Weston Foundation.

Clore Theatre
This space will be for new work, collaboration and education and seats up to 120 people. Unicorn is delighted that this theatre is supported by the Clore Duffield Foundation. (This theatre was previously known as the River Theatre).

John Lyon Room
This multi-purpose room will offer an additional education space for schools, and also act as a meeting room for the theatre, other organisations, and for receptions and events. Unicorn is delighted that this space is supported by the John Lyon Foundation.

The Foyer
Welcoming over 100,000 children, families and teachers each year, this is a light and airy space where people can socialise and relax. It also plays host to the occasional exhibition, as well as a permanent interactive installation by the acclaimed artist David Cotterrell. Also in the foyer is the Frizzante Café.

The Foyle Studio
This education studio is the focus for drama and arts projects for children, families and teachers. Unicorn is delighted that this space is supported by the Foyle Foundation.
