Welcome to Unicorn Education
Unicorn’s education work is rooted in the belief that theatre is a powerful vehicle for exploring and understanding human experience through drama and related art forms.
We aim to provide young people with the opportunity to explore events and experiences that are important in their lives. Our projects are designed to engage young peoples imaginations and to introduce them to the means to express their views, dreams and feelings in artistic form.
Unicorn's education team works with artists and associates to create innovative arts projects within and outside the formal education sector, and workshops for families to get even more out of their visit to a Unicorn production. Click here to find out more about our work with schools, or go to Activities to read about family membership and production-related family workshops.
Unicorn Education’s work with schools and the community is generously supported by public funding agencies, trusts and foundations and corporate partners.
A five-year programme of education and participation projects funded by the Pool of London Partnership (PLP) began in spring 2002. The programme enables Unicorn to develop links with schools and community and cultural organisations living or working in the PLP area of influence in north Southwark and Tower Hamlets, in the lead up to and beyond the opening of our new theatre at More London, Southwark.
