(Portugal)
Two couples inhabit a surreal and fantastical world. The first are recent university graduates, passionate, volatile and embracing of technology and modernity; the second are old and live a rural and primitive existence devoid of all modern comforts. These two polar existences are forced into contact after the river that divides them apparently dries up and the young couple find themselves cut off completely from the world.
Jaime Rocha received the Portuguese Author Society's theatre award in 2004.
