As a culmination of our Diamond Anniversary celebrations – that marks 60 years of the Unicorn Theatre – and as part of Oha! Japan (our Japanese theatre season) we are inviting our local residents and friends to come and celebrate with us.

The day will take place in and around the Unicorn and will be packed with Japanese themed events. There will be performances and workshops of the productions Hello Maru-Chan and The Twin Stars, workshops on origami and “How to Wear a Kimono”, demonstrations of Manga drawing and Sushi making, a discussion on Japanese and British identity and in The Scoop at More London there will be 4 performances from The Dojo Drummers.

The plays are free for Southwark residents on the day but need to be booked in advance. The workshops and the Dojo Drummers event are free for everyone and available on a drop-in basis.

Also on the day, you will be able to buy £125 worth of studio time for just £50 from Snappy Studios who are one of our sponsors. £25 from the proceedings will go to support the Unicorn Theatre.
