Perô is an exquisite world-touring production from the Dutch company Speeltheater, which, in the best European theatre tradition, combines quirky puppetry, actors and live operatic music to tell this story of love and friendship.

In a small Italian village, Perô, a bashful baker, is too nervous to declare his love for the girl next-door, Colombina. But one day a suave painter, Palentino, breezes into town and sweeps her off her feet. Will Colombina fall for his easy charms or will she realise that love has been on her doorstep all along?

The UK premiere of Perô follows an extensive international tour where it won the Victor Award for Best Performance of the year at the International Showcase of Performing Arts for Young People in Tampa, Florida.
