For the past 12 months Lisa, the Unicorn’s photographer in residence, has been creating work both inside and outside the theatre. Her exhibition will include:
Holograms of the past four Children’s Laureates: Quentin Blake; Anne Fine; Michael Morpurgo and Jacqueline Wilson, produced in collaboration with holographer Rob Munday
A video installation of children creating a cacophony of sound and imagery
Atmospheric, large-scale portraits of children watching theatre
Eight-metre-wide photographic tableaux, produced in collaboration with youth groups in Southwark, inspired by the productions throughout her residency. A documentary film has been made by Mick Hawksworth documenting this process.
Lisa is an award-winning photographer who creates quiet and contemplative images. She is interested the boundaries between performance and reality, and her work examines how big a part narcissism plays in children and young adults’ everyday lives.
The work will be displayed throughout the theatre from Thursday 28 June - Sunday 15 July.
