The London Eye Mystery

	Performed by the Unicorn Ensemble

When Ted and Kat watch their cousin Salim board the London Eye, they naturally assume they’ll see him again 30 minutes later. After all, there’s no way off once the pod’s left the ground, is there? But as the pod completes its journey and everyone troops off, there’s no sign of Salim. How on earth could he have disappeared into thin air?

Frustrated by the lack of progress in the hunt for Salim, Ted decides to try and solve the mystery himself. With the help of his sister Kat, they follow a trail of clues across London in a desperate bid to find their missing cousin. But will they succeed where the adults have failed?

This fast-paced, exhilarating production follows the young characters’ frightening ride from despair to hope, and is the first ever stage adaptation of Siobhan Dowd’s multi award-winning novel.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS PRODUCTION CONTAINS STROBE LIGHTING.

My Mother Told Me Not To Stare

by Finegan Kruckemeyer and Martyn Harry

A deliciously dark operetta for curious children and their grown ups.

Have you ever done things your parents told you not to do? Have you swallowed the pips of an apple and waited for a tree to grow in your belly? Have you made a face when the wind changed? Or turned your back on the sea?

In Bobby Rogers’ town everyone lives very normal lives. But Bobby has noticed that a child who was there one minute is gone the next. So he digs a hole through the earth, all the way to kangaroos and upsidedowness. And he may have stayed forever there, but vanishing kids does not seem fair, and there is nothing so fun as a grudge to bear, so one day Bobby Rogers returns to Upper Crumble to settle the score…

Told in an operatic, gothic style, My Mother Told Me Not To Stare is about the disappeared, those kids who did something naughty and got sent to The Fixing Kitchen, a place from which they never returned.

The only boy who can stop it is the naughtiest one of all.

Running time: 90 minutes plus interval

	The Tempest

	By William Shakespeare

An enchanted island. A magician’s daughter. A shipwrecked prince.

Shakespeare’s much-loved tale of romance, comedy and magic storms onto the Unicorn stage.

Miranda has grown up with only her father Prospero and the strange islander Caliban for company. But her sheltered world is changed forever as a mighty storm brings ashore her father’s greatest enemy, a handsome stranger and two drunken rascals with plans of their own.

A powerful, physical production, performed by the Unicorn’s acting ensemble, brings classic characters to life. Music and sound combine with Shakespeare’s words to create a world of enchantment and adventure.

Exploring the perspectives of the play’s young characters, this ideal first experience of The Tempest will also reveal an extraordinary play afresh to everyone.
