This October half-term, it's storytime at the Unicorn, with the retellings of three classic West African and Carribean tales about the infamous trickster in Anansi the Spider, and a dazzling adaption of the award-winning novel by Sally Gardner, Maggot Moon.
Come for some free fun at our Anansi Patterns Up Club, or have a boogie at our special show-themed Up Club+ Anansi Dance and Storytelling workshop. 
From making a splash in the nearby fountains at More London to grabbing some food at one of the many local cafes and restaurants, there is plenty to do nearby to help you make a day of it.

Sally Gardner’s dazzlingly original and award-winning dystopian novel has been adapted for the stage. Using live drawing, cameras and projection, this is an utterly gripping and deeply moving story for young audiences about friendship, courage and rebellion.

There are plenty of family-friendly restaurants and visitor attractions in and around our local area. Here are a few of our suggestions:
Make a splash in the (1) fountains beside the River Thames or lunch in (2) Potters Field with an impressive view of the iconic (3) Tower of London and Tower Bridge, all just a two-minute walk away. Explore (4) Bermondsey Street's independent shops and restaurants, or stroll towards the (5) South Bank taking in (6) Borough Market and Tate Modern.


During your Unicorn visit, pop into our Unicornershop for healthy snacks, drinks and sweet treats. Located in our bright and airy foyer, you can relax here before and after the show.
