An M6 Theatre Company production

One Little Word

Sometimes that's all you need.

  • Directed by Andy Manley

Sometimes that's all you need.

Following the very popular Grandpa’s Railway, M6 return with their much loved show One Little Word, which played at the Unicorn in 2011.

Two characters play together, exploring new space, new objects, dressing up and taking turns. But there’s a bit of a struggle when one of them wants to be the ONLY captain of the ship.

This moving story of friendship, power struggles and the rich world of creative play beautifully captures children’s imaginations with original music and just ONE spoken word.

'a show swimming in imagination' Curious Mum

Make a day of it on Saturday 20 June!
Join us for a free UP Club craft session in the theatre foyer from 12 - 1.30pm, where we will be weaving our own beautiful suns to celebrate the summer solstice. Our Unicornershop will be open and sells a range of healthy snacks, drinks and cakes, and there are a number of cafes and restaurants in the local area, such as Jamie's Italian, Strada and Leon if you would like a more substantial meal.

'A beautiful story and a great way of teaching our little ones about the word 'sorry'. We can't wait to visit again, we're never disappointed at the Unicorn!' Audience feedback
