The Big Give

One donation, twice the impact. 30 Nov - 7 Dec 2021

We're taking part in this year's Big Give Christmas Challenge, where every donation we receive via the Big Give website between 30 Nov - 7 Dec will be doubled.

All the funds we raise will support our Community Engagement work in 2022 enabling us to reach even more young people with the transformative power of theatre.

What is the Big Give?

The Big Give is the UK's top match funding platform. They specialise in bringing charities, philanthropists and the public together to multiply their impact. The Big Give has raised over £156m for thousands of great causes through the power of match funding.

What are we raising money for?

All the funds we raise will support our Community Partnership Programme in 2022.

The Covid-19 pandemic has deeply impacted children’s wellbeing, development and resilience, especially children who were already facing significant challenges and barriers. The Unicorn Theatre’s Community Partnership Programme addresses the urgent need to provide cultural opportunities for these disadvantaged young people.

If we reach our Big Give fundraising target of £20,000 we will be able to deliver 5 Community projects in 2022. This will enable us to partner up with experts in caring for disadvantaged children such as Body & Soul – who support children experiencing trauma and adversity, children’s mental health organisations, young carers hubs and refugee support groups. Together, we will create projects for young people that research, develop and co-create new Unicorn theatre productions whilst improving the children’s confidence, communication skills and overall wellbeing.
