Covid Safety

Your comfort and peace of mind at the theatre are so important to us. We have been granted the Society Of London Theatre & UK Theatre’s ‘See It Safely‘ mark, which certifies that we are complying with the latest Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, to ensure the safety of our staff and audiences. We will continue to update this page with the latest information, and can't wait to welcome you back.

Do I need to wear a mask when I'm at the Unicorn?
You don't need to wear a mask unless you are attending a socially distanced performance. We do encourage audiences to wear a mask if they would be more comfortable.

Do I need to do a lateral flow test before I attend?
We encourage you where possible to take a lateral flow test before you visit if you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19, however we will not be asking for proof of a negative result.

What happens when I arrive for a show?
Please make sure you’ve downloaded your ticket to your digital device in advance or have a copy printed. These will be scanned by our Front of House team at the main doors to the building.

We have hand sanitiser stations situated in numerous locations around the building.

Will the audience be socially distanced?
We are selling the majority of our performances to full capacity, however we do have one performance for each show that will be socially distanced and our team will all be wearing masks. You can book online for these performances or contact our box office on 020 76450 560 or by emailing if you would like any further information.

What should I do if I feel unwell?
If you or anyone in your party feels unwell then we ask that you take a lateral flow test if possible, and please don't come to the theatre if you have tested positive, for the safety of our team and other audience members. We can offer an exchange for a small fee of £1.50 or a credit voucher if you are unable to attend, to find out more details then you read our full ticketing policies. If you develop symptoms please contact our Box Office on 020 76450 560 or by emailing and we can talk through the options with you.

What cleaning procedures are in place?
The building is cleaned daily.

FOH staff will ask audiences to sanitise their hands when entering the building and again before going into the auditorium.

FOH staff will clean high touch points such as tables and chairs with anti-bacterial spray and wipes, in between each performance.

How is the air circulating in the building?
We use an air handling unit which brings fresh air from the outside into the theatre. The system is set to its maximum capacity of 50% fresh air, meeting government guidance for ventilation.

What is your cancelled show/cancelled tickets policy?
If the show is cancelled you will be able to receive a full refund. Our Box Office team will contact you directly to sort a refund or exchange tickets to a different performance.

Do I still need to collect my ticket?
All our tickets will be issued as e-tickets, which can be printed at home or shown on your phone when you arrive.
