Safety Information

Update 8 June 2017

The Unicorn Theatre is committed above all to the safety and security of our customers, staff and guests. We are operating as normal, albeit with increased security measures in place. All our scheduled performances and events are planned to go ahead as normal.

We are in touch with our London-wide network of security partners including The Metropolitan Police, More London Estates, Community Security Zone and Team London Bridge. We have escalated all our security measures in line with official guidance and, on a daily basis, ensure that we are fully briefed on the latest news and advice.

London Bridge station has increased staffing levels and police presence, More London Estates (the area around the Unicorn) has increased security patrols, and we have an increased staff presence in foyers and regular checks of all front of house areas. We are operating a bag check system on the door and ask that you do not bring large bags or suitcases with you. Backstage we have increased security measures and ID checks for all visitors.

Our staff are undertaking further counter-terrorism training and our evacuation and invacuation processes have been reviewed and communicated to all staff. Our current security measures will be in place every day and at every show for the time being, and are subject to ongoing review.

If you are a school booked into see a show this term, please contact us to enquire about additional free places for parents to attend on the trip with you. We are keen to work with you to help to continue to make trips as easy and stress-free as possible.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact us at hello@unicorntheatre.com.
