About When This Is Over

A hopeful, energetic and urgent story

Does anyone really know where their story starts?
Do you?
Maybe it only really starts when you tell it.
Maybe it’s starting right now.

As world leaders gather in Glasgow to decide the future of the world, a group of teenagers come together in London to tell the story of their lives - their past, present and future.

Created on Zoom and in socially distanced workshops throughout the pandemic, When This Is Over captures the extraordinary, funny and surprising moments that can change our lives forever.

Staged on a set made exclusively from repurposed scenery from other London shows, this brand new production is a celebration of possibility, hope and the power of stories, told by
teenagers standing on the brink of an uncertain future.

Company Three is a leading force for change for teenagers in North London and around the world. Their work includes Brainstorm (Park Theatre, National Theatre, BBC iPlayer), Boat (Battersea Arts Centre), The Act (The Yard Theatre), The Best Day Ever! (Pleasance Theatre) and Everything (Platform Islington).

'A remarkable theatrical act of optimism by a bunch of funny, fearless and utterly engaging teenagers ... full of heart.' Lyn Gardner on Company Three’s Everything

Company Three are collaborating with youth theatre and school groups across the UK, supporting them to make their own versions of When This Is Over.

Together they will build a shared database of stories told by young people about their lives, available for anyone who wants to better understand the teenagers at this pivotal moment in history.
