The Unicorn is looking for facilitators with some experience of Early Years to develop their practice with Lucy Cassidy, Early Years PHD researcher at Theatre Hullabaloo
In partnership with Theatre Hullaballoo, the Unicorn are developing a new project exploring creative play for Early Years. As part of this we would like to meet more drama facilitators with experience in Early Years (0-5's) and are offering some paid peer-led professional development with our Creative Hub.
We are looking for facilitators who:
- Have some experience delivering creative sessions with young children aged 0-2 and/or 2-5 (You might have assisted sessions and be ready to take the lead, or have led and designed your own Early Years offer)
- Are interested in co-creation with Early Years children
- Can be alert to playful moments of discovery with early years children
You will need some availability to attend sessions in July and August:
- 1 online introductory meeting
- 2 days observing and supporting sessions delivered by Lucy Cassidy
- 2 half-days peer-learning and skills sharing
A range of dates will be offered to work around your existing schedule
This activity will be the beginning of an exploration for a co-production between the Unicorn and Hullabaloo in 2026. All facilitators will be invited to apply to join us in developing this piece.
All facilitators will be paid a fee of £400 for the sessions outlined above.
Please email creativehub@unicorntheatre.com for full information and a link to our short application form.
Deadline to apply 12pm on Friday 20th June.
If you see this callout after this date you are welcome to send us a CV to be considered for future Early Years work.
