LET’S FLY AWAY.
'Stimulates the imagination' British Theatre Guide
One ordinary child living an ordinary life. Every day the same... except for today. Today is different. Today is a game. Today they have wings.
The Bee In Me frames a day in the life of a 10 year-old from their perspective. Three actors perform as the storyteller, narrating the action as the child imagines becoming a bee and completing levels in a computer game as a way to successfully get through their day.
This dazzling, high energy, joyful yet moving play touches on the challenges of home and school life for a neglected child, and celebrates a young person discovering their inner resources - their resilience, determination and ingenuity.
'Theatre has the power to communicate important messages and difficult topics in a way that is accessible, and The Bee in Me at the Unicorn Theatre did just that.' Theatre Weekly
