Winner - Best Theatre for Children at the 2020 OnComm Awards
We're delighted to announce that our award-winning reading of Roald Dahl's The Twits is part of this week's official World Book Day celebrations. Head to the World Book Day YouTube channel to catch a new 10 minute excerpt of the show. The full version is free to watch on our YouTube channel until Friday 5 March.
Imagine the worst people you can think of, can you do that? Good. Then you’re just about ready to meet Mr and Mrs Twit, the nastiest couple you could ever hope (not) to meet.
We're overjoyed to be able to share our theatrical reading of one of Roald Dahl's best-loved books about a most despicable couple, The Twits, the clever Muggle-Wump and the magnificent Roly-Poly Bird. This unabridged reading, filmed in our theatre, is gleeful, gunge-filled digital storytelling aimed at children aged 6 - 12.
As part of Unicorn Online, during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are offering a range of free online theatrical experiences that we hope will be enjoyed by children across London, the UK and beyond.
The Twits is free to watch on our YouTube channel until 5 March 2021.
★★★★ 'Roald Dahl’s twisted children’s book, The Twits has never been more vibrant. If you’ve got kids and fancy introducing them to a British Classic, I urge you to watch this show with them. I can guarantee any adults sitting in will be equally entertained by this exquisite reading.' A Younger Theatre
★★★★ 'a vibrant and eccentric reimagining' The Upcoming
'What a treat, and a lovely way to while away an hour with the kids, or, to be honest, without them.' The Reviews Hub
